My apologies as well Superman and again condolences to the officer's family, including the Blue one, and hoping that a miracle may prevail and the scumbag that did it will actually face true justice.

Perhaps he will get well enough to try to make a beeline out of the hospital since he's supposedly an "escape artist."
Believe it or not there is a sinister thought behind this idea. Maybe sinister is not the correct word here.

I would be willing to bet that the officers watching him are fervently praying that he tries to run...

I would be willing to bet that the officers watching him are fervently praying that he tries to run... Exactly my point and I won't mention any names but I have heard that sentiment expressed.

The suspect deserves everything they hope he would get were justice actually justice instead of the bleeding heart bullshit it has become today.

If he survives I wonder if some lawyer will whip out the insanity defense like they did in the Julie Jacks case. I was told that the dude that killed her got something like 25 years.

Asshole should not have even been breathing free air. He was sentenced to 20 years for being a viscous criminal, and served 8. I hope the parole board that let him out sleeps well since Tim's family certainly won't.

Hate to monday am quarterback here! Ok dang it I will! I wonder what would have been the outcome if the employees of that store had been packing heat and wearing vests? I thought of a certain bullion store that I know packs and they don't hide their packing.

This thread is goddamn pathetic. Only here, on Fredoland, (Or CopBlock and Shittycop.com) would a 'conversation' regarding the courageous, and senseless, death of a local Officer devolve into such an uninformative, thread-jacked, insulting to all LE and fraught with unadulterated BS narrative, in just this one topic.
Sick.
I leave you nincompoops to wallow in your own self-inspired filth. It is a self-proclaimed 'litter box', after all, so what else should I have expected?
Sadly, as a result, I won't be able to learn how the Litter Box people would have handled it differently, and how they would have done it better than Sgt. Chapin and the CPD in 4 minutes. (That demonstrably Fredolandesque reaction would simply be to run away, simultaneously dialing '911", as you wet your panties.
Superman? I am surprised, and disappointed, you are associating, and participating, with the likes of the Fredoland world view.
But, to each his own, since you folks have such,"a low tolerance for assholes."
"Our Shit Hath No Odor?" Really? I thought I smelled something.....So I 'x'd" out of here and started smelling roses again.

Your opinion is noted. Funny though that YOU, are doing the exact same thing. Not to mention the fact you can't even come up with an original name.

To bad your chicken shit self is not around to explain your moronic diatribe. Your right, now that your gone it really does smell like roses. What a douchebag!!!!! Don't let the door hit your rear end on the way out! LMAO!!!!! Anybody see the mother of the scumbag tonight on Fox 61? Sounded to me that she knew her dirtbag son was guilty and wanted back in Colorado. They had just moved here from Colorado. She blathered on about how her son wanted things that she couldn't provide.

Wow, I missed that interview.....sad, the parents apparently are as worthless as there son. Especially if she is using what he did with the excuse because she couldn't give him what he wanted. I don't wish death on people, BUT, I hope those parents don't have other kids out there, and I hope they stop taking up valuable oxygen space.

Whenever you see one of these characters on TV the interview is always completed by the momma saying what a good, misunderstood boy he was.

^^^^ That's my day today!!! Yesterday was such a bittersweet day. On one hand we mourned the loss of Sgt. Chapin. We heard beautiful music and a choir, anger, sobbing, sniffling, and just downright gut wrenching testimonies. On the other hand, everyone got to see what a great man he was. We got to witness emergency personnel from all over our state and country stand together. We got to witness the support from the community. As I walked down the street with my Fire Dept family in honor of Sgt. Chapin, I saw children, seniors, as well as local business owners and staff standing in support of him, and all other emergency personnel. Hixson has never been so silent. I've never been more proud to have been born and raised there. After all this city has been through in the past several weeks, I can honestly say that Sgt. Chapin's service brought the strong together. It showed that you guys have support and there are still some folks left in this community that love and appreciate you. I didn't know Sgt. Chapin personally, but I've heard stories. Anyone who knew this man or had the opportunity to speak to him is beyond blessed. My husband and Tim's sister, Lisa, are friends. I know that family is filled full of stand up people. People that don't deserve a tragedy such as this. My heart breaks for that family, especially Kelle and the children. My heart breaks for his brothers in law enforcement. I am so sorry for your loss, Superman. May God comfort and protect you every day. And last but not least, my heart breaks for his church family. They have lost their warrior for Christ here on Earth, but it seems that God could use him more in Heaven. After all, that is the place for angels!

I held it together until they did his EOW on the radio. Everybody around me started sobbing along with me. It was amazing. I was good friends with Tim about 15 years ago, I would see him a couple of times a year recently, and it was so easy to get back into it. He was an awesome guy, and will be sorely missed.
