Living with me should be just what the doctor ordered.

Little Fredo has nearly stopped using diapers. Still gotta have them for overnight but we're well on the way to stopping our subsidy of the pampers family.

Finally got a spot in a good preschool. Who knew that there was such competition amongst 3 year olds?

Finally got a spot in a good preschool. Who knew that there was such competition amongst 3 year olds? Hope he likes it. Is it a religious school or private at least?

It's run by a Presbyterian church but I've been assured that they won't try to indoctrinate him.

When my son was little, we sent him to the Cumberland Presbyterian preschool. When he "misbehaved", they made him recite bible verses. When we found out about this, we immediately removed him and found another preschool that better fit our requirements. We ended up enrolling him in the preschool program at the Children's Home in Brainerd, which was about 2 blocks from where we lived at the time. They were a great bunch of people. The only down side was that they also take in abandoned/orphaned children. Whenever the wealthy donors would come in to tour the place, they would comment that my son was such a cute child and what a shame it was that he was an orphan. The management would never say that they also operated a preschool/daycare program. Don't want to discourage the donations, you know. I always thought it was kind of funny but the wife would get a little irritated. It was a great place, though. But that was 25 years ago. Can't vouch for them today.

Are you speaking about the Chambliss Home?? It is a great organization. Our store donates food there. They also have an adult center.

Well, little Fredo had his first day at "school" yesterday and it went pretty well. This morning, however, the game was up and he really didn't want to stay. I expect that he's over it by now but leaving him there in such a state was less than pleasant.

How's about Fredo, Jr.? It has a nice ring to it.
It might have to be Fredo, Jr. II, to avoid the inevitable confusion around the dinner table and on Facebook but I'm sure everyone will still get fed. ;D
