You can't. There is only one importer licensed to bring it in. They do so for Coke. I read it when I was researching the story. I alway debunk before I post.

I don't think there is any part of the coca bush in today's coke recipe. I hate that snopes won't let you copy/paste. The info I got on the Coca plant is here: www.snopes.com/cokelore/formula.asp

The info I got on the Coca plant is here: www.snopes.com/cokelore/formula.aspThe operative term in my statement is the "in today's recipe". From the SNOPES article: "Changes were made to the recipe between the time Pemberton marketed it in 1886 and Woodruff in the 1920's made it a company cannon that the formula would hereafter not be tinkered with: glycerin was added as a preservative, cocaine was eliminated ....."

So if we can't find out about what ingredient the Stepan company uses to decocainize coca cola then how do we know what we are really buying?

There is no cocaine in any of the ingredients to "decocainize". Its all caffeine, preservatives, and fake sugars today.

Cons snopes states "cocaine was eliminated".
What you are buying is:
CARBONATED WATER HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP CARAMEL COLOR PHOSPHORIC ACID NATURAL FLAVORS CAFFEINE

Anything in a large enough dose will kill you.
Drinking too much water can kill you.
If I were worried about what went in to the manufacture of this delicious elixir, I wouldn't drink it.
