What a day! I still have a roof and almost no damage. I hope everyone is OK and I hope those of you that read this will post and let us know that you are OK.
Thoughts and prayers for all that are affected by today's storms.
Also, make sure that you give to the Red Cross. If you haven't thought of it before, now would be a good time.

I am here at work in Ooltewah and everything is fine. I haven't been home, but I hear through some friends that out my way in Harrison there are a lot of downed trees and power lines. I am hoping my trees are still vertical and my roof is still horizontal.

Oh, damn. One thing I just remembered. I started a crock pot full of white beans and ham this morning before I left. I bet the power has been off since this morning and my beans didn't cook. DAMN!

Couldn't believe my eyes this morning when I got to the Ringgold exit...total devastation.
It was still dark but I saw two homes, medical center, bank, Shell station, Food Lion, another complex, Ace hardware all heavily damaged. Trees were every where and power lines were scattered about like silly string.
That was just the east side of the freeway....couldn't see the other side because I was detoured.

wow, what the holy hail! Did you guys get the golf ball sized hail? No damage here, but no electricity since yesterday morning. Thank god for generators! Keeping my fridge running and watching movies. On my way home yesterday, about 2:45 or so, had a small tornado or straight line wind pass in front of me on the interstate, where we were all stopped because of the small hail coming down like hell. I saw something forming as I was pulling over, and thought, shit, now I've had it! But, got stopped just behind it and then whoosh! Unbelievable, straight across 153.

A friend of mine lives Collegedale and she sent me pics of 2"+ size hail balls. Didn't break any of her windows but bust the house siding in several places.

All is well at the manly home. Except for my pot of white beans and ham that didn't cook. No electricity. Praise be to dead dinosaurs and natural gas. I can take a hot shower. Got some nice hail, though. Make fun of my Saturn if you will, but those plastic body panels save me some nice dents, unlike my neighbor.

Here at Fredoland central command we got some good wind, lots of rain and some pea sized hail but nothing like you guys have seen. trees down all over the scenic and trendy North shore but the power is on and Owl Gore's internet is operating. We've hardly lost power at all, but most of our neighbors have been out since yesterday morning so we have extension cords running around to operate their refrigerators.

FACEBOOK? REALLY? You are SUCH a homo! What's the preferred social media at your bath house? All my favorite homos hang out a Fredo's Cat House.I don't have a Facebook account. And I intend to never have one. If I have the need to communicate with someone, I call them on the phone. If I need to show someone a picture I will e-mail it to them.

I don't have the insecure need to "stay connected" with everyone, everywhere 24/7. I have a small group of close friends and we get together and interact verbally, face to face. Old fashioned, maybe. Preferable, absolutely!

Just heard from Diremaker. They've got some damage and they're still out of power, but nobody got hurt.
