Where are they now? I have been in Alabama and Georgia more than Chattanooga lately. We're still covered up in debris here and our street is still closed. Is it an overtime issue or equipment shortage? A little communication would be nice. The Public Works folks are nothing but vague with their responses. Has anyone seen them? I did see a truck with a huge claw device on Old Ringgold Road sometime last week.

I just saw some today in East Ridge on the side of the ridge. It will probably take them several months over here to remove all the tree limbs and logs. Our mainline phones are still out.

Gosh Raphael. Sorry to hear that but glad to have the information. You mean your land line at home? Oddly, mine never went out.

They've hired some outside contractors to help but there's so much to get that I think it will still take a couple of months. They can only bring it back to the yard at a pace that the yard crew can handle so there's a limitation on how quickly they can clear the streets.

That makes sense bosscat. Does oak make a good mulch? This is/was an old oak tree.

Apparently the dudes who fixed it several days ago forgot about us. But there is a brush truck circulating around the neighborhood.

I was on Brainard Road Monday night and where the Target store used to be, it looks like they are piling up brush there. It is the land across from East Brainard Road that, I think, the airport bought.

East Ridge was always good about picking up brush when I lived there. They didn't have curb side recycling but had a regular brush pick up day.

Some of the areas here in Ringgold have hardly been touched. I expected that the fast food joints on Alabama Highway (151) would have workers like ants on anthills, but they have barely even started cleaning up.
Oddly, the smaller mom and pop operations are getting back up quicker. They will have a heyday while everyone else takes their time.
