I saw the sign today but haven't heard anything about it so far. It made me think of this Chatt Times story that I saw last week. This makes 2 labor disputes this week. I think Erlanger's security protests were last month. Does anyone know how things turned out at the paper? www.newschannel9.com/articles/old-1001562-free-press.htmlTimes Free Press Sued for Age DiscriminationMay 26, 2011 5:14 PM The president of the Chattanooga Times Free Press has been named in an age discrimination lawsuit filed against the Chattanooga Publishing Company. The lawsuit was filed by 64-year-old Frank Anthony who said he worked at the Times Free Press 18 years. He claims 34-year-old president Jason Taylor made it clear he "wanted young people as managers." The suit says Taylor "set out to make working conditions so egregious that the older managers would quit or retire, or he terminated older management employees."

If it turns out to be true I will be greatly upset. However, if it is just sour grapes then ....

I saw a story abou the labor protests this weekend(somewhere or other). It seems that the folks who built both the doubletree and the museum hired a general contractor who uses both union and non union labor and they're all in a tizzy about it.
Personally, I given 'em the finger as I go by. Childish? Yes... but still oddly satisfying. ;D

I'd like to know more about how the deal at the TFP played out. Also glad that the individual folks at the museum itself aren't involved.
