This would be a question for future reference because I don't have the money to purchase windows right now. I have these old 60 type storm windows which are very hard to open and impossible to clean. I have some odd ball sizes because this was the house "jack" built" (still very well built IMO). Built in 1960. Have you seen these ads for windows that say $189 installed? are these el cheapo bottom of the line windows? Are these "bait" ads? One window guy told me a good window would average $400 to $600. What kind of good window would you use that was well priced and maybe as good as Pellas? What qualities and functions should I look for in buying a window? When I do pick someone to do it is there anything I should know about proper or improper installations? Thanks!

Hey, the windows that the F-man put in my house make a huge difference. They face South and we can actually be in the room when the sun goes down without being blinded. One is near the stove and the heat from the sun would make the stove top hot to touch. Now it doesn't even fell warm.
