This happened to me one time and what I found was that some glass had gotten down into the pump impellers and had ground the impellers that push the water out to pieces. I'm a little mechanically inclined so I went in and took the whole motor out and took apart the pump system and put a new kit in I got at the parts house. Now this was hard and my dishwasher is one of those kind you roll over to the sink and hook up to the faucett. So I bet if yours is undercounter that that might be too much for you. Have you had any broken dishes or glasses? If so then what I just described would be highly probable.

Have you tried cleaning out the strainer? Sometimes they just get clogged. It's especially common on LG dishwashers.
I assume that it was working before and has stopped and that you haven't put in a new disposal.

I assume that it was working before and has stopped and that you haven't put in a new disposal. Speaking of which. I have like an industrial garbage disposal I guess. You turn this thing on and it sounds like a jet starting to fire. Pure power. You put like tons of food in there and it like hasn't a chance. You just hear, Zz gone. I'm thinking about installing it in my shower and cook dinner out of there.

It helps to rinse the little "chunks" off dishes before putting them in the DW.

It helps to rinse the little "chunks" off dishes before putting them in the DW. Yes...We do. The debris was of plastic nature.
