have any of you guys tried this place?
one of their recipes is in today's paper but i've never tried them.
some people have told me they love it there because of the private curtains on the booths, others because of the food.
one friend in particular fell head over heels in love with her date while there.
we have a lot of entertaining to do over the holidays so we're looking for dining options near our home. say at or around $75 per person?? total, not just the entree.
it looks great from the outside but i've never ventured inside.

Of all the places in Chattanooga, it is by far the hippest, coolest, most urban among them. The chef was the former owner of Bellagio, so if you liked that place you'll like table 2. The menu is a little more European in it's nature, with a whole menu of meats and cheeses. He has done some really wonderful slightly spicy entrees, has a very good wine list, and a couple of pretty fair bartenders. Derrick has always been masterful with both meat and fish, so you need fear no entree. The last time we went, it was around your target price with wine and a cocktail.

FYI - Derek no longer has anything to do with Table 2 (and hasn't had for quite some time). In fact, due to the circumstances surrounding his departure, I plan to mark Table 2 off my list for any future visits - no matter how nice the place is.

That really sucks. I haven't been in for a while so I guess my info was old. Any idea where he is headed? I'll eat anywhere that guy is cooking.
BTW- Welcome aboard Diner.

As far as I know, at the moment he isn't sure what he is going to do. His food has always been excellent and on top of that, he is a super nice person.
