me too, coffee... for the most part. I don't know when it started but I've developed an aversion to cooking. Being from a big family it seems like I cooked and washed dishes over half my life! That and it is the easiest way to keep the weight off since I can't run or take walks anymore.

i'm not cooking when it's just me... next fall when the BF moves in, that will surely change.

High quality cookware is just like high quality cutlery. Hand wash only. I know when i spend as much money on these items i'm not going to ruin them by putting them in the dishwasher.

Amen! Most of our cookware ain't much, (2 decent pans, a lot of cast iron and some cheap stuff...Tramontina I think is what it's called.), but we take care of it and it has lasted a long time. The outer coating or coloring, or whatever you want to call it, has came off of our cheap stuff, but the inside cooking surface remains practically unblemished and it's almost 7 years old.

Note to self: Do not attempt to fry eggs in the same pan that you just cooked bacon. You will break the yokes. Use non stick for eggs.
