In spite of the 'also' this one is indeed opened up to the non-shooters as well, and I'd also like to open this one for discussion.
I know that some families shoot together, some don't, in some families the issue is a big deal, in others it isn't.
Would like any input any would like to offer on this one.

My wife, being the liberal pinko that she is ;D, doesn't shoot with me and doesn't like guns. Oh well, I guess that leaves more ammo for me! BwaHaaHaaHaa!!

CINCFAM likes to shoot, but doesn't get into the minutiae of WHAT she's shooting: example..she's got two pistols, a .32 auto and a .22 revolver. The other night a friend asked her what kinds of guns she had, her answer....a pink handled one and a brown handled one.

The wife has shot a couple of times because I have made her. I did that so if I am not around and she needs to protect herself, or my offspring, she will know what to expect.
Now, the offspring is a different story. He has shot a MP5, .40, .38, my AR-15 (full auto) and his favorite, a full auto, tripod mounted 50 caliber. When he got done he rolled over (very short tripod) and asked "Dad, were you hitting me every time a round went off?" I live 50's. There is nothing like that chest thump you get!
Oh yeah, he is 8 years old. Yes we practice very safe gun handling techniques before anyone asks.
