I went there for lunch today. Lunch ranges from $8.00 to $10.00.. I had the Stuffed Chicken Medallions. Chicken breast stuffed with chorizo, Poblano and cheese, then lightly fried. The con chili is a mash potato casserole. My friend had the 1/2 chicken quesadilla both were excellent!! The service was some of the best I have ever had. Has anyone else been??

It is at Hamilton Place, on the Gunbarrel Road side. They have a Veggie Fajita , a Poblano Soup , Spinach Enchiladas and a Huevos Rancheros for Mrs Fredo

It would be nice if that gal were posting over here. Her reviews are decidedly more informative than mine.

Had lunch there Saturday while visiting the sons on our way to Florida. Excellent food, service, and value.

you could always send her an invite via PM at CMF, fredo.
or... ask her if you can post her reviews here with a link to the paper's website.

THE MALL!!!! Oh God! I would break out in hives! I'm with you on th mall aversion, but as it turns out, that's the only place in the city where a person can buy maternity clothes that don't look like they came from wal mart. To the restaurant:
I concur with the other folks here. It's more upscale than a Cancun or any of the local places, but it's still affordably priced. Pretty good food, good service and lunch for about $30. If you gotta be near the mall, it's worth while.

Did the Mrs. get the special veggie menu? They have a totally separate one, which I thought was great. They told me they did not have it when they first opened, but there were so many requests for veggie dishes they made a menu of them.

We didn't get that either. We find that a lot of local places are really lacking in the veggie entree department. I always talk to them about it, and they always say that they're working on it.

Yep, I get that too. I don't know why it is so difficult to have some non-meat dishes around here. I think a lot is the attitude here, they are shocked you don't want a hunk of meat included.
Next time you go to Abuelo's, ask for the veggie menu. They had a decent selection in it. I was very pleased with that.

No kidding. I usually end up with a variety of side dishes.

The Mrs has started getting her meat on the side. We take it home and I eat it later.
If you get the cobb salad from foodworks that way, they send you enough meat for a nice lunch.

I will do the same thing sometimes. Or say at Chili's, I will get the quesadilla as cheese, and they leave the meat off. And they knock a couple of bucks off. Maybe we should start a thread with places that are veggie friendy.... Of course, we would probably be the only 3 in it. I can say Abuelo's and Genghis Grill are good veggie places.

I have eaten at the Aubelo's in Memphis and it was really good. I would like to try the one by Hamilton Place.
