OK... here's the deal. I need a pickling crock. It's about a one gallon or larger piece of crockery with a lid that goes INSIDE IT rather than on top. The lid will have holes in it also. It's design is for making pickles and such the old fashioned way in a cold brine. The lid holds the cucumbers, or whatever else you may pickle, under the brine solution. I can find one online, but thought that someone may know where to obtain one locally. Thanks for the info if you can help!

i have one but without the lid. and it's in baltimore but i'd send it home with kordax.

I've made pickles and pickled corn for years, and never had a lid, what I used was a plate..yes a regular dinner plate.. and it was held down in the brine by a large stone.. or brick.. covered in saran wrap or foil.. this top of the crock, was covered by a sheet of cheese cloth to keep insects out..you just have to clean the brine every few days.
