Has anybody here ever tried it? I started today. I'm wondering if the tablespoon of cough syrup I just drank is going to mess me up. So far, so good. I'm eating little bits every couple of hours. I'll be back in my pre-preggo skinny jeans before long! :woot:

Are you trying the actual dinners? I'd like to know how that stuff tastes and if it works like those pictures. BTW there is another diet system called Fiber 35 diet which I actually take there powder drink. www.fiberdiet35.com/

I ordered a month of the food. It has breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts. I have to supplement fruits, veggies, and small amounts of protein and calcium. I had their blueberry muffins for breakie. Not so great but the black bean soup for lunch was very tasty. It's my understanding that, once I know which foods I like, I can special order my monthly supply of food. I think I'll only need to stay on the diet for 2-3 months in order to lose the amount I want which is 20 lbs. I'll let you know in a month or so about the results.

I ordered it off QVC for $175 for a months supply. I still had to spend about $30 for supplementary food. It's around $200 on Nutrisystem's website.
I had the beef lasagna for dinner. It wasn't bad and I don't feel hungry. I got the munchies this afternoon but, since dinner, I've been fine. Oh, I also had the chocolate caramel bar for dessert. It was ok too. Cured my sweet tooth.

What happens 2 or 3 months later after you quit eating their food? Maybe you already answered this but do you get breakfast, lunch and dinner for that price?

I'm sorry. I'm sure the Nutrisystem thing will work well for some, but I personally wwant to know what the hell is going into my food. If you like Sugar, I have a nice long list of low cal, low fat recipes that are quite tasty. More importantly, they provide real nutritional value. Also, I would recommend you read this: www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2006/11/nutrisystem_problems.html

What happens 2 or 3 months later after you quit eating their food? Maybe you already answered this but do you get breakfast, lunch and dinner for that price? The idea is to learn portion control. One can eat just about anything in small quantities and maintain their weight. Diremaker, I went online and studied Nutrisystem a lot before I decided to do it. My problem with food is that I tend to reach for things that are quick and easy to prepare and it usually ends up being stuff that is not all that great for me. Nutrisystem foods are quick and easy. Just throw them in the microwave and I don't have to think to much about what I'm going to eat. Hey, I knew the food wouldn't be home cookin' when I ordered the shit. So far, the stuff I've had is edible. Granted, I still have a lot of items in that big ol' box to taste. I can special order my food next time to contain only the stuff I want. If eating sawdust is what it takes to get me to my pre-preggers weight, I'm willing to do it for a couple of months. I have a goal and, while I know there are other ways to reach it, I think this may be the best diet for me due to the aforementioned reason.

First, look at the May 7th Recipe of the week. It's good, it's fast, it's healthy. Almost less time than a microwave meal.
When I went into the hospital for my heart surgery, I was at 241 lbs. I lost all the way down to 186 and now I am back up to 210, but I am on a downward trend again. My cardiac rehab dietitian made an excellent point. She said, "You won't stick to anything you can't stand. It's better to eat well, cheat occasionally and enjoy your food than to eat stuff you don't like for a month and then go back to the same diet." I'll try to get a section up posting some good healthy recipes for you. In the meantime, if the Nutrisystem helps and you can stand it, good luck!

The quickest way for me to lose is go carb free for a 3 days. You can have cheese, meat, fish, milk and all the vegetables you can muster. (Stay away from yellows like carrots & squash & also peas) Then slowly add carbs back in but only as fruit and whole grains. IMPORTANT -->Don't eat anything white for that same week. White=sugar & most flours You will also lose a lot of water. If you are strict enough you can drop 10# in a snap.
Then there is that Memorial Hospital heart healthy cabbage soup for a few days too. They add rice after 3 days. It starts out with low, low carbs but woefully shy of protein. 8# to 10# off the first week then it will taper off.

Myself, I need to do some "spot" exercising, like crunches, etc. Tone up the muscle I have then the weight will start dropping. I could afford to lose quite a few pounds myself. Alas, the boobies will be the first to go I will have to post this snack I make......................it is drop dead good. When you read the recipe, you will think, yuck.....................but, yum, yum, yum. Plus, it is like a salsa you can do with chips or as a side. I think in a full cup you get very little carbs, less than a gram of fat and calories are about 30, and a nice dose of protein

I think that's one of the biggest keys right there. Cheating occasionally. I've pretty much been able to maintain my weight by cutting out some garbage "foods" and replace them with food that has much more nutritional value. And Sugarcane I think the portion control is another big factor like you said.

Good luck to you Sugar!
My sister took the nutri-system challenge and lost almost 60lbs. Her neighbor joined as well. So they had a sort of buddy-system. She said after the first couple of months, the food became a little better. She stayed on it for almost a year. She picked up walking when she stopped the program. Never gained any weight back. But, she's thinking about doing it again... becasue she's at a stand-still.
Hope this helps.

It's been 12 days and I have lost 6 lbs. I was horrible on my "weekend" off. I ate everything in sight so I have promised myself that I will do better this weekend.
I'm still ok with the food. I'm on the "never the same" plan so my box next month will have different stuff. There have only been a couple of items that I really didn't like.

Well, they are not tight anymore and I can squeeze into the next size down but, no, I'm not really there yet. I will be soon tho.
I have more energy from eating healthier. I've got to get into my pilates class regularly. I went once last week and once this week. I've been walking more this week tho to make up for not going.
