Congratulations! My youngest has been in "big boys" for five years or so, and I still think about diapers or baby needs when I'm at the store. Most of the time its more like, "Whew! I don't even need to go down that aisle!"
BTW, he is a boxer man.

When mine made the switch, many, many years ago , he had problems with being allergic to the elastic, so he went commando alot. When he hit puberty, not such a good idea..........so, he does the hanes boxer briefs. No elastic, and they fit snuggly. No loose legs.

We have both knit boxers and briefs. As Elmo & Bob the Builder are on his briefs, those are his preference at the moment. Elmo underwear, the proper motivation. Despite the fact that my daughter liked Teletubbies, her proper motivation was Barbie underwear. Too funny.

oooh... he's now graduated to little big boy status. whoopY! When I was potty training my youngest son... he was so stubborn about using the big toilet. I finally threw some fruit loops in the bowl and told him to aim and fire! LOL Being the little manly man he is... he was hooked after that. ;D Making dirt -- was more difficult. It scared him to think a part of himself was being flushed down the commode. But finally when he first mastered the task on a regular commode -- I made such a big deal. I was jumping up and down clapping like a crazy person. I hollered for my eldest son, who was 2 at the time to come on in there and give him a big hand... so he runs in the room licketly split -- and extends his arm-- as if to try and help him off. I said no no honey, clap clap! ((((( hee hee ))))) My boys were so much fun. And funny! I miss those "little guy" moments. Enjoy it Copper.. enjoy it.

Congratulations Copperhead!
I remember those days and even though my "baby" is 12, sometimes I go past that aisle in the store with all the baby stuff on it and wonder if I've forgotten something.

Ah, thanks to one and all for your support! It's been interesting. The downside to "potty training" is that the child goes through 2-3 sets of underwear & pants in the course of a day...or at least he did the first week. The upside is that, out of necessity, the laundry is done daily & only a load of towels or sheets needs to be done on the weekend.
We have had a setback, in the form of a tummy bug. Imagine the distress of a 2 y/o who's just learned to control his bm's when he suddenly doesn't have that control. Bless his little heart. The past 21 hours have been interesting. I wonder what he'll be like after his nap? I think I'm about to find out!

He was up and running by 4:00 yesterday. This morning, he was kicking a soccer ball in the house with his sister. He's gone from being a sleeping slug on the sofa back to his normal, perpetual-motion self!
I'm now able to get a little rest...at work. HA!
