Owing to the fact that some maniac tore out our kitchen last week, the Mrs and I have been subsisting on leftovers and take out. The problem is that most of the take out food in this town seems to... what's the word? Suck.
I went to the Greenlife this evening to get some stuff from their deli and it looked like a bunch of plasticized biology experiments. Seriously. Would it hurt them to stir the potato salad every 4 or 5 hours?
I wound up stopping at Foodworks. I've always liked their food, but I think they really short changed me tonight. I got the grilled meatloaf and found it more charred than grilled. It came with a side of mashed potatoes that looked more like styrofoam than any sort of food product. The Mrs got the cobb salad. She always likes it but (obviously) we get it without meat. It looked more like an assemblage of ingredients than a salad. The presentation was horrible.
I don't know about you guys, but when I pay $35 for a salad and some meatloaf, I would like to see something a little more impressive.
Back to the point. Is there any good takeout in this town? ( In town, not way out in the sticks.)

Maybe Mrs. Fredo paid off the restaurants so the maniac that tore the kitchen out would be pressured to put it back together.

I agree, Greenlife has gone down the tubes when it comes to their deli.
Have you got a small fridge you can put in another room? The last time we had a major kitchen over haul we set up a small fridge & microwave in another room. You can nuke fresh veggies into an edible state that way.
Pre-packaged salads can be risky but you can get a spray for them at Greenlife.
PS I can probably get my hands on that small fridge by next week if you need it. My daughter has it in her garage and uses it for back up when "entertaining" .

Today, I saw a small fridge on sale at Lowe's on Hwy 153 in Hixson for $125.
I think Mrs. Fredo needs to fire her sorry as contractor and get a new one who will get a kitchen and nursery set up in the next 2 weeks. ;D
It will suck to have an infant and no kitchen.

I got eh sink operational before we went to the stupid reunion this evening and I'll be laying the tile for the back splash tomorrow. I can be speedy when I have to.

Hell, call me. If the price is right, I'll cook it and deliver it... It shan't be cheap though... ;D But it will be tasty! For the right money, I'll just come to your house and cook... after all... you got da new kitchen... ;D
