Those who have gone through this in the past few years or so, I would love some tips!
College applications and scholarships.
We have begun the college apps. Any Advice? Any do's or dont's? If we have on in particular in mind, any advice on making an application stand out? Will her academics and volunteerism stand out for her? Should we make copies of the achievements or just list them? etc, etc
Also, College life. Suggestions to help them living on campus? Should you try to get a job with the college, or outside employment?
Thanks!

Do:
Include all available transcripts Include an accounting of all extra curricular activities Use spell check on the essay portion of the application. Don't:Start any sentences with "dude". Enclose Spring break photos. List your backup school as DeVry Institute I hope this helps.

Have those covered Matter of fact, she was even smart enough to create a mature email addy to put on her apps. (and any and all "tagged" photos hanging online on her friends pages have been removed as I find them) We are working on the "uh huh" verbal answers. ****won't waste the 100 bucks for the "degree" to virginia college online as a backup**** thanks for that tip HAHAHAHHA
