I will savor every bite of tonight's dinner. My mom purchased a crab quiche from a gourmet place up in NY along with a bottle of Stonington Chardonnay from CT. I love my mom and her taste of food! ;D

how was the wine and was it the regular stonington chard or their "sheer" chard?

how was the wine and was it the regular stonington chard or their "sheer" chard? We actually had the Vidal Blanc instead of the Chardonnay. The Chardonnay is for our next dinner. It is the regular not the sheer.

they all have pretty good reviews and are decently priced. It was a very good wine with a little oak mixed in with citrus taste. It went fabulously with the crab quiche. I never did find out where she bought the quiche.

My mom gave the remaining quiche to take home with me and I hid it in the fridge so I could have it tonight for dinner. Obviously my teenager doesn't understand that if something is hidden, he's not supposed to find it, eat it and then call after he's scarfed it all down! He's supposed to leave it alone or call first!

I can get it at the fresh market (if you want the good stuff that is really fresh). I have a recipe for a crab quiche but I don't know if it will taste as good as this one. Maybe I'll try it this weekend. Might be something fun for a change... And I love food network recipes too. I love browsing...
