OK... just for fun, I wanted to see what kind of stuff everyone would like in their kitchen. So... Christmas is coming and price is no object. What are three things you would love to have in your kitchen? Mine are... 1. A Wolfe Stove 2. Calphalon One Cookware 3. The rest of my knives... (I have two) Calphalon Katana Series.

Granite Countertops Which counters did you end up picking? He is trying to convince me to get the cheapest thing I can find and then change it later. I'm not loving that idea.

Yeah, you haven't said... The only thing I have against granite tops is that you can't cut on them... unless you have a lot of money for new knives. Has anyone seen Ice Stone? Countertops made from recycled glass and concrete... they look pretty cool... still I would worry about my knives though...

one of these for me: and one of these for the jersey boy: and... not shocking to me but... if you want an illustration of the difference between men and women.... go to google images and google "alton brown"... check out the first 2-3 pages of pics... then google "racheal ray". the difference is disgusting to me as a female... damned p-chops.

I would have to agree. Both of them are great cooks but that's certainly not how Rachel is portrayed.

Plus, I don't think I would want Rachel in my kitchen. Her voice is annoying and she never shuts up.

We're not much on wine here actually. The sulfides trigger migraines for my wife and I can't find any that tastes close enough to tequila to satisfy me. Speaking of tequila, tonight would be a good night for some tequila lime chicken...mmmm

Tequila Lime ChickenMy favorite version by Ina GartenIngredients * 1/2 cup gold tequila * 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (5 to 6 limes) * 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (2 oranges) * 1 tablespoon chili powder * 1 tablespoon minced fresh jalapeno pepper (1 pepper seeded) * 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic (3 cloves) * 2 teaspoons kosher salt * 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper * 3 whole (6 split) boneless chicken breasts, skin on DirectionsCombine the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, chili powder, jalapeno pepper, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add the chicken breasts. Refrigerate overnight. Heat a grill with coals and brush the rack with oil to prevent the chicken from sticking. Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade, sprinkle well with salt and pepper, and grill them skin-side down for about 5 minutes, until nicely browned. Turn the chicken and cook for another 10 minutes, until just cooked through. Remove from the grill to a plate. Cover tightly and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Serve hot or at room temperature.
