sounds like a really good meal, MM...
Waltz, how can you stand to eat stewed tomatoes? ;D There are very few veggies I can't eat and stewed tomatoes and stewed okra are two. I love fried okra and I love tomatoes any other way, except big chunks in my veggie soup...

no it doesn't... i can't stand that black ink all over me. I don't get it all over me. Just my hands and face. ;D It's a Cajun thing. Ever been to a good ol' backyard crab boil where they dump the bucket of crabs, shrimp, sausages, corn, and taters right out on the picnic table lined with newspapers. Mmmm! My coonass in-laws can party like it's 1999!

One of my favorite "fast food" but home-cooked meals is stir-fried bean sprouts with vegetables & steamed brown rice.
Heat the wok until it's smoking hot, put a tablespoon of canola oil in & when the oil is smoking, toss in a clove of minced garlic & a sliced, hot chili to flavor the oil. Add a cup to 2 cups of mung bean sprouts, grated carrots, bamboo shoots, sliced mushrooms, green onion. Cook it for a couple of minutes max, add a jolt of soy & it's ready. I keep cooked brown rice in the frig most of the time so it's microwaved while the sprouts cook.
All in all, it takes less than 15 minutes to prepare & cook.....
