need to know how to cook a rack of beef ribs using the oven/broiler and not a grill.
anybody got a recipe or any tips?

Braised Beef RibsSource = www.grouprecipes.com/7925/braised-beef-short-ribs.htmlIngredients * 4 lbs. meaty beef short ribs cut up * 1-2 tbsp olive oil * 2 stalks celery chopped * 1 large carrot chopped * 1 large onion chopped * 3-4 medium plum tomatoes chopped * 4 cloves garlic minced * 1 cup beef broth * 1/2 cup dry red wine * 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar * 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary or 1 tsp dried * 1 bay leaf * 2 tbsp flour * 1/4 cup water Directions 1. Season ribs with pepper and garlic 2. Heat oil in large Dutch oven. 3. Add ribs and cook until browned 4. Remove ribs 5. Add celery, carrot, onion, tomatoe and garlic, cook until tender 6. Add wine, vinegar, broth, rosemary and bay leaf 7. Add ribs and heat to boil, covered. 8. Cook on low heat till ribs are tender. (If desired, place in 325 oven for 6 hours) 9. For Sauce 10. Mix flour and water. 11. Add to pan juices 12. Cook and stir 13. Serve ribs with sauce Let me know if you like it... I thought it was good, but I believe it could have been better had I known more about wine.

cut 'em and weigh... then increase the recipe by whatever's needed to cover the difference
