Woot!
I officially ditched the big clunky carseats with the five point harness for little boosters that are easily removed. I hated those darn seats.
I cleaned all my leather in the car today and it actually looks normal again. It was often inconvenient to not be able to transport more than one adult. Plus, now that I'm single, those big seats were a definite man deterent. ;D

It seems like yesterday they were born.

are you still required to put them in the smaller booster seats until a certain age or weight?

are you still required to put them in the smaller booster seats until a certain age or weight? Yes, I have the smaller boosters now. The boosters are for 30lbs up. My two are 40 lbs on the dot. Their old seats were good until 40lbs and they were safer so I kept them in those as long as possible. It was a major bitch strapping them in with heavy coats on. They like their new seats. The best thing is that the new seats are small and they are not hooked in like the others. The larger carseats have to be installed in such a way that they were next to impossible to remove easily. Granted, the boosters are not as safe but we reached the weight limit so this was the next step. I guess they are safer than what I was allowed to do which was stand in the middle of the front seat and lay in the back windshield. ;D

Another milestone: My little guy had his first dental appt on Monday. They took his picture, let him pick out his goody bag & spiderman balloon. They even gave him a foam sword (yeah, sword fights!). We went to play at Northgate & eat ice cream afterward. We finished off our special time by riding up & down the escalators at Penney's.

Dr. Barto. My dd sees him as well & she LOVES to go. This is very much unlike me, who has put off an exam for nearly 4 years.

I used to see Dr. Barto when I was little and I know his son. They are pretty nice people.

Barto. That name sounds familiar. Does he have a daughter about my age?

I don't know about his family, other than his adult son who practices with him.
I was also quote something like $4600 for braces for my elder child by his office. Oy!

Yes, thankfully, they do. They request 900 up front & then 100-something per month. My dental plan won't cover more than half of it, if that.
Hoo-boy. Oh well, at least we only have 30 more months of daycare left to pay!

Don't even get me started on daycare cost. I pay nearly $1600 a month.

Even more reason to count down the months until they start school. Where do they go for daycare?
