I'm sure many of you remembers the debacle that coke did in 1985 when they decided to change over to "NEW COKE". But let me interject and tell you even before the "NEW COKE" came out your so called "Classic" coke wasn't "Classic". Can anybody guess why? Winner recieves a coke from Fredo!!! ;D Coke to drop 'Classic' from label Final chapter of New Coke debacle has been written By JOE GUY COLLIER

Coca-Cola Co. said Friday it plans to drop the 'Classic' tag from its top-selling soda — providing a final chapter to the New Coke debacle.
Confirming a report in today's issue of Beverage Digest, the company said 'Classic' would be dropped in the first half of the year.
The original 'New Coke' label in 1985. The product was quietly discontinued in 1992.
Coke added Classic to the label in 1985 in the United States as it brought back the original formula. The return to the original formula was triggered by consumer backlash over the introduction of New Coke.www.ajc.com/business/content/business/coke/stories/2009/01/30/coke_classic_label.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstabLet me add a clue. It got to expensive for food manufacturers and soda companies so they got in cahoots with the corn industry which in turn got federal dollars to subsidies their industry. The product they replaced it with is high fructose corn syrup. The wiki article states it was done in 1984 but it also states that some manufacturers changed between 75 and 85. I maintain that when they went to using HFCS it changed the taste. Maybe with their "new" coke they tried to hide the crap.

Original coke contained cocaine. Actually, the original contained Coca. That's not the same thing as cocaine. It would be like saying that a coca bean is the same thing as a Hershey bar.

From Wikipedia: Coca-Cola did once contain an estimated nine milligrams of cocaine per glass, but in 1903 it was removed.
