Laura, if you come by 212 (Tues. or Wed.) on your way home from work you can taste some of Coppola's (as in Francis) Pinot Grigio.
I've also got a little known grape you can try as well from Spain called Albarino (the n has a "nya" sound). I describe it as "Spain's version of Pinot Grigio".
Waltz, I'm impressed with your wine savvy for someone who doesn't care for it.

Wine is an aquired taste and I have never aquired it. Except for Boone's Farm. i loved me some boones farm, back in the day... it was like koolaid when i was in highschool... my fav flav, Tickle Pink, is being resurrected from the dead.

Laura, I would highly suggest that you catch Chattanooga's next "Wine Over Water". (www.wineoverwater.org) It's a huge wine tasting and you can normally find some really cool stuff...

I'm an el cheapo. I buy my wife a bottle of Foxhorn. It's $3.99 a bottle. It's white zinfadel and we both think for being cheap that it's just as good as those $10 bottles. I'm not a white wine drinker. I'd put the stuff up there with blue cheese. ;D
