I'm planning on sending my old hard drive to one of the many data recovery companies. It has pictures on it that I just can't replace as well as some files that I would really like to have back.
Do any of you guys have any experience with any particular company? They all look the same to me.

Nothing yet. I've been doing other stuff. The only names I have are the ones that come from a quick google search. I just hoped that someone else might have had a similar problem. This ought to teach me to back up occasionally.

I started keeping my pictures on thumb drives. They store easily in the fire proof box.
I don't know about data recovery businesses. Sorry!
