Is all this wireless via IP? If so, the only recommendation I can make with this equipment , since the main item is going to need an IP connection is to purchase a good media convertor/switch. Intellinet makes a decent priced one. Looks to me like a pretty easy install. No hard wire anywhere? or were you wanting to hook up with this and another switch? You could probably even use POE on another switch and run this one off of that, and do a cheaper music system. This also will need a static IP, which is one reason I would think you would need a media switch. Or else your internet is going to keep having IP conflicts. It might even be configured for it's own network. I will look at all the docs on that site when I get a real minute to do anything else

I've already got a c4 media controller and I've got some devices on the way. Essentially, it takes up one port in a wireless router and uses that to broadcast to the individual controllers which all have their own unique IP address. Each controller also acts as a repeater, so the more devices you have, the stronger the signal becomes.
What I don't understand exactly is how I get line level audio to remote speakers and how the power amp knows which signal to send to which zone.

hmm ,not knowing this system in particular, I would venture a guess that you will have to individually type in each IP, subnet and gateway addy into the system so it knows which is where. Usually your IP is the only difference, but you will need to know your subnet and gateway(mac) addy. You can probably pull that up online. If its comcast, just call em. Without reading all the docs on this yet, I am not sure but almost 80% sure that will be how it's done.

Here's a link to the media controller that I've got. www.control4.com/cp/37-12D8A7DA/index.htmYou are supposed to be a dealer to have the programming software, but I managed to get it along with the installer's user guide from someone on Owl Gore's big ole internet and the software doesn't look too complicated. I've also picked up a touch screen, a couple of switches and a wireless thermostat. That should let me know if this is going to be doable from a technical standpoint. Maybe you could come eat up some of Mrs Fredo's food one night and we could have a look at it.
