I built a house last year that was kinda big. It's 3k sf finished and another 2k unfinished. I talked with the homeowner today and he told me that his last power bill was $168.00. He also told me that they keep the place at seventy degrees. That wouldn't be a monumental feat until one considers that the unfinished 2k sf is effectively climate controlled as well. The house is so tight that even the space that's supposed to be unregulated is getting the benefit if the improved thermal envelope. maybe I'm just a construction nerd, but this kind of result really trips my trigger.

OK, that's what I remember from school. (Anymore monitor jokes?)
