They say that 50% is grown locally which includes some nearby states. North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee is where most of of it comes from. This was in an article todays paper.

More lies from the elitist, left-wing media.

BiHigh produce is definitely better than Wally World's. I usually stop at the stand on the corner tho. I prefer to help the little guy and I avoid BiHigh because they are so expensive. I go in once a month or so to stock up on meat and that's it. They do have good meat sales.

I was out and about about 3 weeks ago, and I needed strawberries and bananas (smoothie anyone?). I was close to a produce stand, so I thought I would give it a go. I was kind of disappointed in the starwberries. I bought them, and when i got them home, they were mostly little, scrawny ones. After I used them up that week, I went and got some at Bi-Lo. They were much larger, looked better and did not go bad as fast. I was trying to support the local stand, but the quality was less, and the cost was really about the same. Maybe I will try again some time, but I won't go out of my way any time soon.

It's the stuff I need that is not on sale that I think is overpriced.
