It looks like what ever channel the TV with the box is on, is the channel you will have to watch in the other room. Other than that I can't really tell anything else.

call Comcast...they have converters. I've got 4 other TVs and I don't want to rent the boxes. Can you buy them somewhere? If so is it worth it and where can you get them?

Ten years ago you could buy cable boxes with the chips altered that allowed you to receive ALL the programming for free, even the pay stations. I watched many a wrestling Pay-per-View that way. Allegedly.

I think they said that she could get 3 of them at no charge. You have to call in to set it up, that was a bit of a pain, but now it is all good.

Comcast sent a flyer saying we're eligible for 2 free ones. Beyond that, we'd have to rent any more..

Okay now we can't get one of them to work. Comcast is saying we have a weak signal. I do have an old booster in the line and we did have some weak channels before and fuzzines. But two of the TVs work fine. Do I need a new and better booster or what?

Are you using more than a 3 way splitter? If not, then you shouldn't need a booster at all. If so, you need a good booster. You can buy those from comcast, but don't, the mark up is about 50%. Don't you know a buddy who can run a seperate line for you for 20 bucks? That is your best option. Good boosters will cost more than a new line

BTW I had some real loose connections on my booster so I will get the wife to refigure the box that isn't working to see if that's the problem. If I think it's a weak signal I will disconnect the other two boxes to see if this one comes on. If it does come on then I will no for sure it has something to do with weak signals.

I scanned the channels and now they are back. Too weird. It was in my favorites then disappeared from our channels.
What all do you get with the free boxes?

Raph, we used to sell those wireless transmitters at the Shack.
Hilly is right about the splitters.
