I'm working out of town this weekend and me and the Mrs, (HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY! Aug 26), decided that we didn't want to a) have to worry bout cooking much or b) eat out.
So, we hit the kitchen tonight and made 6 different quiches. In the process, I cut off about an eighth of an inch of the end of my left little finger. Not normally a big deal, but considering the blood thinners and everything, it took me almost 9 hours to get it to stop bleeding.
To wit, I would strongly suggest that if anyone is in need of a good chef's knife, be sure to check out the Forschner / Victorinox 8" Chef's Knife. It is independently rated as one of the best chef's knives in the entire world and is available here in Chattanooga at Chef's Mart (Eastgate Loop, in the site of the old Aaron's) for only $29.98
Trust me, it's sharp! And good quality to boot!

Would those quiche's be "finger" food?

I love quiche! Yummy! Yummy! I'm with ya on the end of finger cut. I was cutting open one of those resealable bags with some very sharp scissors and cut a chunk off the end of my thumb dang it.

Quiche Lorraine, (swiss cheese & bacon), Spinach & Bacon, Chicken & Spinach, Chicken & Mushroom, Chicken & Sour Cream and a Vidalia Onion Quiche.
Doubt if I will make the Chicken & Sour Cream one again. The flavor profile was kind of odd for me... may have been the fat free sour cream.
I'll post the recipes for each a little later on.

You can find the recipe here -> www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1650,140178-249193,00.html Only two things I did differently were that instead of the cracker crust I used a frozen pie crust that coated with 50/50 butter blend and blind baked for 15 minutes at 350, and I used low fat Swiss cheese.

Pansy. I once cut off my whole hand and just reattached it with some duct tape. You don't hear me crying about it.
