Has the boy been out? How does he like it? He really doesn't get it yet. We took him out in the last snow and he just kind of looked at it. It's really too bad because he may not get another snow like this for quite a while.

Then we were allowed to make our own snowman. At least plop him out there an take a photo of him !

I don't think I would give Paul too much credit. The computer programs they use now are much better at predicting weather now.

This is the largest snow since 93 and on the exact date in 88 we had over 10 inches. This has been a royal pain of a storm though. Some of our secondary roads are still very icy.

We are on a big hill and haven't been out since Sunday. One of the men that lives up here got out yesterday with his backhoe and tried to scrape the road off the hill. He said the road is solid ice. He almost got his backhoe stuck down at the bottom. There is dirt road coming up that has deep tracks in it and he had to come up that way. I am now starting to run out of things and we are going to have to find a way to get to the grocery store. I am just about to get tired of this stuff.

Check that the grocery store is open before you head out.
And that their shelves aren't already bare.
If the choices are limited, go for the Pringles and the PopTarts.
Ice is the worst. You can usually get to the bottom of a hill in one piece, perhaps screaming all the way down, but then you can't get back up.
Hang in there guys. Stay safe.

I wish people with large pickup trucks and bald back tires woud get the HELL off the road and stay home. Had one stuck on one of our hills and watched him freak as he tried to back down. I waited at the top until he did because I was afraid if I attempted to go around him he would do something stupid. When I came back his bare tired truck was sitting at the bottom of the hill with flashers on and no one in it. Food Lion was really wiped out still.

I went to Publix and Bi-Lo. They still had stuff. Some things were low/gone, but there was still the ever-popular bread and milk. Maybe not the brand of bread you usually get, but they had bread.

Each one gets about an equal amount, but I'm still unsure what I'm getting for my annual checks to the county.

Thanks K. The people that I work for at Calico Florist brought me the stuff I needed. I walked slid down the hill and met them. I came back up the old dirt drive way and it was better. These folks are the sweetest, kindest people I have ever met.
