We're pretty much always stocked up for a week to ten days. Plus, if it's really bad out,we can walk to the greenlife. They're always open.

I'm in the county and we actually had a plow come through on Monday night. We were shocked cause we've never seen one up there before. Hubby was mad cause it messed up his sledding, but momma was happy cause it made my drive to work less stressful!

I went sidewalk skiing last night. It was fun but I have a bruise or two. I used my heavy duty hiking boots and old ski poles.

We finally got a little bit of sand this morning. It didn't do a lot of good, but I suppose it's the thought that counts.
Evidently, you have to call in and ask for your road to be salted or they won't do it. Seriously, what kind of stupid, messed up system is that. If I call first, but live way out in the boonies, I get salt before the road nearest the salt stations?

y'all don't get much snow there... hence, they likely don't know how to handle a real snow emergency... :-\ /

I took my old lady butt down to the bottom of our hill again today and met my daughter. She took me to the bank, grocery store and the post office. We have not had mail all week and hubby was expecting some medicine from the VA. Got a few groceries and the hubby's medicine. When we got back she made it about 1/4 of the way up the drive way. I think by tomorrow we can get out and back in. I certainly hope so.

They never came down our road, but ours has been good since the neighborhood paid somebody to plow.
The city said no trash pick up this week. We did not put our trash out. We paid attention. As I am driving along, I keep passing garbage trucks. The garbage trucks are stopping and picking up trash for the morons that did not pay attention and still put their trash out. So who is the real moron? Me, I guess for paying attention and not putting my trash out. I come home, a couple of my neighbors apparently don't pay attention and their trash is out, and has not been picked up. I put mine out, 10 minutes later, along comes a truck and takes my trash. The city is run by idiots. "No trash this week, don't put your trash out", then send the trucks out to pick up the few that put the trash out.

I got my garbage picked up on Thursday with snow/ice still on my street. Of course I pay a private company to pick up mine. I don't rely on the alien controlled, military-industrial complex, government stooges.
