chattanoogan.com Damage Extensive In North Chattanooga House Fire posted October 30, 2007 No injuries were reported in connection with a small house fire in North Chattanooga Tuesday morning. The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 10:48 a.m. and responded to 1309 Spears Ave. with four fire companies. Lt. Marty Barrows with Engine 12 said a good portion of the front of the house was engulfed in flames when the first firefighters arrived on the scene. The firefighters were able to get the blaze under control quickly, but the damage was substantial. Kenneth Mathis told firefighters that he placed a kerosene heater on the porch and fired it up to "burn off the soot." He said he then left the house. The fire reportedly started while Mr. Mathis was away and was discovered by neighbors, who called 911. Volunteers with the American Red Cross were called in to provide assistance to Mr. Mathis. The loss was estimated at around $20,000. The cause of the fire remains undetermined chattanoogan.com/articles/article_116096.asp

Let me guess. A crack pipe explosion set off the heater, which ignited the meth making chemicals?

It did occur to me that it might be her, but the story referenced a man.

.. Hill lives near there and keeps up with the area.. she didn't start a fire!! just a few blocks south... one less dump in the hood. and if the guy didn't have crap piled all over the porch and watched his heater a bit before leaving it unattended, he would have a home right now.
