I think everywhere is windy nowadays. The jetstream is dipping down closer to the planet than it is suppose to. So I've heard.

Windy is NOT the word here! Tornado warnings, hail and who knows what have been issued. Yikes the wind and rain were coming down so hard it was sideways.

There's some major damage out of this one. Hope nobody got hurt. They're showing that huge tree that crashed into two houses and trapped one in Red Bank. The one house is completely destroyed!

I'm out here in RedBank today, and if that is what about took the door off my office (metal frame, metal doors, concrete block) I can imgaine what it did to trees. Some guys from here just took off to go look. It seperated the frame from the block so now the rain is just running in. I couldn't get to it to shut it, about blew me down! Contractors in front have a rain gauge and it had almost 2 inches in 15 minutes!

Yeah, I saw her earlier. It was on the daily news. They were comparing her step sons shirts and him wearing them compared to her borrowing from him and wearing them too.

Megan Fox?? the movie star? I was in GA when the storm hit and could see it over downtown Chatt .. by the time I got home downtown was upside down.. that old empty Sliger building on Main St finally collapsed -- I was worried about my dogs and a handsome young police officer let me cross the yellow tapes to get to them... we have no power but across the street they were back up @ 4am.. I let channel 3 in my house this morning so ya'll can watch for that .. my friends in Cloverdale off of Norcross Road are without power but my dad close to Highland Plaza has power as does uncle in Valleybrook ..

I went through Hixson a few minutes ago and the only damage I saw was a blown over church steeple and that sculpture in the island @ Dupont pkwy had been blown over.

When we got to the cemetery yesterday, we had to take a round about way to the grave site. They had trees blown over at the entrance and through out the cemetery. The tent and chairs that was set up for Mom blown away. We had a quick grave side service.

They are calling the tornado that hit Red Bank an EF1. There were quite a few lucky people in this one.

woot! power on here for almost an hour!!
I found out that my camp stove is broken and my lantern is not to be found. ... made coffee with my camping pot on the grill this morning . SO GLAD that I keep emergency supplies! I kept thinking ... if they don't have us up and running in _____ hours I'm going elsewhere .. then a truck show up giving me hope so I'd end up staying home.. the husband says he'll no longer gripe about my ''emergency box'' taking up room in "his" shed.. the main thing was having good candles and lots of them, battery powered radios and flashlights, plus using canned food that we keep on hand but the reality is that we also could go out to eat -- we didn't even use our gas heater .. unlike snow & ice power outages we could drive and the temps weren't too cold.

The rear corner about 1/2 way down. We get some unbelievable gusts of wind through the buildings around here. The workers at the old YMCA were looking out the window when it blew. Everybody said it was a loud event. I'm glad I wasn't here for the show. I experienced it from inside a large building with a metal roof.
