Lean Cuisine I thought you were doing Nutrisystem? I've been off that a while. No child support = no money for nutrisystem.

I thought you were doing Nutrisystem? I've been off that a while. No child support = no money for nutrisystem. Have you reached your goal yet or are you still working on it? I have decided that portion control and smarter eating combined with 2 days at Curves a week is a pretty cool way to help me.

I have decided that portion control and smarter eating combined with 2 days at Curves a week is a pretty cool way to help me. I lost 15 but put back on 5 around Christmas. My goal was 20 lbs. I've been horribly weak lately and I really want to go back on Nutrisystem but I can't afford it. Something about having the meals all planned out and not requiring much effort made me very sucessful. Having to do it myself, I'm no good at.

Did anybody catch on the news last night where various scientist and researchers are saying that all diets will work but the problems are staying true to them and the whole issue is a calorie issue regardless of all the other nonsense you've been told. Believe it or not!

Believe it or not! I did not see that but it makes sense. You have got to burn more calories than you intake if you expect to lose weight.

i had some of this bizarre salad my coworker made and it was really good!!
CORNBREAD SALAD 1 (1 oz.) pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch dry salad dressing mix 1 c. sour cream 1 c. mayonnaise 1 (9 inch) pan cornbread, crumbled 2 (16 oz.) can pinto beans, drained 3 lg. tomatoes, chopped 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 c. chopped green onions 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled 2 cans Del Monte whole kernel golden sweet corn, drained
Combine salad dressing mix, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Set aside. Place half of crumbled cornbread in the bottom of a large serving bowl. Top with half of beans. In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, pepper, and onions: layer half of this mixture over beans. Layer half of cheese, bacon, corn, and reserved salad dressing. Repeat layers using remaining ingredients. Garnish as desired. Cover and chill 2-3 hours before serving. Yields 10-12 servings.

Ughh, you lost me at sour cream and mayonnaise - 2 things I cannot stand. For lunch, I went to Fat Floyd's, a new deli that a friend of mine just opened. Had a veggie sub and twcie-baked potato. It was yummie.

yep... i'm sure it adds up... a small bowl was foisted upon me...
you see.... i passed on participating in the pot luck festivities and did so for a reason... however, this co-worker is a pretty good work bud so i had to accomodate her feelings.
*shrug*
i've been battered all day about "not being a joiner" when in reality, i just don't want to graze at the trough.

LOL... I respect that! That's one reason I don't do buffets very often. I do go to a chinese buffet down here in Dalton for lunch because they don't have very many people in there when we go. It's nice to be able to pick what you want but not have to wander through other people to get it.
