Peanut butter & jelly sandwich, 9 units of insulin and half the pills in the pharmacy at Walgreen's. I had to go yesterday and buy a bigger pill box because my medicine doesn't all fit in the old one anymore... this sucks.

Jelly too but check what they substituted the sugar for. If it's malitol and sorbitol it gives a laxative effect. Splenda is a good sugar substitute.

I had both sugar free peanut butter and jelly... basically tastes like fruit flavored cardboard paste. A raw food vegan diet with some wheatgrass would help you feel better and I bet would vastly improve your diabetic condition. The greens like the wheatgrasses and barleys mixed with the raw veggies would help your pancrease greatly. The hard part is doing it and maintaining that lifestyle.

NOT!!!You have to acquire that taste Nana. Do you think the taste the diet which you have been raised on is the only diet and the right one? One day we Americans will awaken and figure out how the food manufacterers in conjunction with the FDA has poisioned us all with the myriad additives put in our food supply. It really is that serious Nana. Diremaker like the rest of us has suffered our pitiful diet. I still suffer as well and continue to fight a severe bowel disease. I have modified and continue to educate myself to make better choices so I can lesson the poisons and toxins entering into my temple. ;D

Boy did I type that stuff!!! One to be preaching about this while drinking. What a hypocrite I am!!! ;D No I've never heard of this guy but I've come across several during my journeys. You really have to try to make some changes in your life and that's the hard thing. And what may work for you may not for another. I've been on wheatgrass and barley for several weeks to see what that would do for me and so far I'm having excellent results.

That's great Raph. I find the most important change we have to make is to add an adequate amount of fiber to our diets. My mom suffered from diverticulitis and her doctor told her that 2 tablespoons of wheat bran in her cereal per day was a great start. Not the Bran cereal, the wheat bran you get in a health store. No white bread. And at least 8 glasses of water per day.

Metamucil and products with psyllium are very beneficial to help keep your bowels in good shape. The green grasses have a lot of chlorophyll. It oxygenates the blood, which is VERY vital.

Agreed Raph, but don't overlook drinking enough water per day, especially if you're taking Metamucil. Without enough water, that Metamucil will stay in your bowels like cement.

Ham and swiss on 9-grain bread, sour creme and onion chips, two chocolate covered graham crackers, and a bottle of water. Now that's healthy!

I found this promo for a movie called "Simply Raw" Reversing diabetes in 30 days. It brings up a lot of questions for me. I can't see Type 1 being reversed for instance. Not saying I don't think it's never been done because I have read instances where various individuals claim they did beat it. Interesting video none the less. Forgive me for hijacking this thread.

Okay, where is that raw food diet you are espousing?I just had a "raw" apple does that count? It certainly does! You just need to take the hamburger helper out of that, and you did have a raw food lunch. and by the way... I had a glass of wine for lunch... Now that is a lunch! Since it is your b-day, you can have whatever you want.
