He is so cute! I love looking at people's baby pics. That way, I don't feel bad about showing the grandchildrens'!

Even in his first pic posted he does seem to be long limbed with long fingers. Are you or your wife tall?
Looks like you may have a musician on your hands. Maybe piano or guitar?

There's some photo distortion there. His hands are appropriately sized, but that pic make 'em look like cartoon hands. *pssst... the proper answer is "well, you know what they say about guys with big hands!!" he sure is a cute little guy... you and mommy are truly blessed.

Well, we went to the doc yesterday for his one month checkup. He's now nearly 12 1/2 pounds and is doing very nicely. He's doing so well, that he doc has said we can start adding some cereal to the milk. Another thing to learn. I have a suspicion that this boy is gonna be a whopper.

Rice pablum is best Fredo because it's far more digestible than the heavier cereals.

We got some rice cereal, but it won't work with the nipples that we currently have, so we'll need more gear before he gets any of that.

That's right. Make a big enough hole where the cereal will be able to come out, but not so big that the baby will choke. My sister-in-law would start off with a very liquid mixture of formula and cereal in the bottle until he got use to it. Then she would thicken the mixture in time.

We've started off with one teaspoon to 5 oz of milk. I used an upholstery needle to modify the outlet size and it seemed to work pretty well. I'll let you know in a few hours.
Perhaps Mrs Fredo can get a little sleep in the near future.

Perhaps Mrs Fredo can get a little sleep in the near future. He should sleep longer with the cereal. Mine did but I didn't start it until they were 5 months. He's gonna be eatin' steak before you know it. That is, if Mrs. Fredo will allow it. ;D

Fredo,
I remembered how I got the twins sleeping longer.
Tell Mrs. Fredo...dream feeds
Just before you're ready to hit the hay yourselves, give the baby 3-4 ounces of milk with the rice. Don't take him out of bed and wake him up. Lift his head or prop it with pillow while he is in his bed and let him suck it down. This may buy you an extra hour or two and shift his schedule a little bit as we discussed.
It seems so long since my two were babies that I almost forgot my tricks. ;D

I was just glad to get a shot of him not screaming. That Santa suit is pretty hot and the people in front of us took forever to get out of the way. That said, it's pretty damn cute, even if he wouldn't smile.

It's a banner day at Fredoland central command.
The boy slept from 10:30 lat night until 6:30 this morning. Mrs Fredo looks like a new woman. ;D
