Psst...it's time to start a nighttime/bedtime routine... I suggest continue doing whatever you did yesterday. ;D Let's see... I did a little work in the morning, fed the cats, made breakfast, shopped on ebay for a few minutes, watched some TV, had a shower, made myself a martini and had dinner. Then the boy went to sleep. I like this system.

What was Mrs. Fredo doing all day? It sounds like you weren't much help. I think she's probably the one that has it down. Remember, my view is skewed because I had two at once.

My boy is HUGE! He's approaching 17 pounds at only 14 weeks and shows no signs of slowing down.
I'm going to have to start buying cows by the herd. ;D

Note to self: When trimming the boy's fingernails, make sure not to clip of bits of the thumb.

He didn't enjoy it much. It bled and everything. Now I have a shirt with tiny little blood dots all over the shoulder.

I'm making a call to child protective services as I write this. I expect you have about 20 minutes.

I think it was on the forum once, may have been Nooga, but someone said something about nibbling the baby's fingernails off. Maybe you need to take that route...

There's a culture somewhere that the mother chews the food up and then directly "feeds" the baby. What's a few nails!!! ;D

It was me I think Blue did it with her children as well. Ya'll did gross out. Just a little nibble to keep the sharpies away. My grandmother actually demonstrated the procedure while we were still in the hospital.... passing it down to the next generation. I miss her & her pickled green tomatoes.

I think I may have grossed out. I can't remember. I KNOW I did question it. However, it is something that has stuck with me. It's probably a whole lot cleaner than me biting my own nails when they break.

It's probably a whole lot cleaner than me biting my own nails when they break. When it is your own little baby you want to just eat them up anyway. I'm afraid of teeny new babies anymore. I'm afraid of dropping or hurting them. I just to love to smell and taste my own baby though... mmmm.

I used to be a ruthless nail biter. I would tear my nails to the quick. I guess that's probably why initially, it grossed me out.
