Mrs Fredo made some home made mac and cheese tonight. Her stomach has been off for the last few days, so I've been roughing it a bit.

I had late lunch which was a big cheeseburger and some Captain Morgan at the bar so no dinner for me and poor hubby is working the PM shift so I did not have to cook either. I think I'll have some toast before I go to bed.

We had pancakes and bacon. Hubby cooked the pancakes and I cooked the bacon.

My mom used to cook breakfast for supper quite often. I miss that. My husband thinks there's something wrong with eating scrambled eggs for dinner or cold pizza for breakfast!!

I don't eat breakfast when I first get up, so anytime during the day is good.

I don't eat breakfast when I first get up, so anytime during the day is good. So that's where the hubby got it from. Breakfast was something you did everyday at my house growing up. I get cranky if i don't eat breakfast.

When I first get up I only want my coffee. Food comes later.

I'm like that as well. Can't even thing about food when I first get up. I need a couple of hours behind me before I get hungry. Growing up everyone in the house had to come to the table for breakfast whether we ate or not. I learned to like coffee at a very early age because that was all I could stomach at 5:00 a.m.

Same here. Late breakfast if any.
My mom always made breakfast during the week for all five kids. Her mother did the same. Dad would make a big breakfast on the weekend. Back then we couldn't have breakfast before church if you can imagine that.

But my dad worked for the railroad and his days began really early. Not to mention in those days our school bus ran at 6:00... I had a long commute to high school. But even if it had not been for those things, our family history was everyone out of bed at an early hour. Mom, Dad, and all eight kids. Weekends as well. Spring cleaning came every weekend at my house. More like a circus than a family. I have to say though; was never a dull moment. No time for boredom. And like Saleenmissy, I would not change a thing.

About to begin making up my spices for a taco salad tonight. And it will have lots of cayenne pepper added. We love it very spicy. After cooking 3 weeks of food for the pups (which took all day) today a good salad is about all I can muster up for me and the husband tonight. Good thing we both love a good taco salad.
